Sen. John Fetterman and Wife Hospitalized After Car Crash in Maryland


Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) and his wife, Giselle, were hospitalized following a two-car crash in Maryland on Sunday. The accident occurred on Interstate-70 in Hancock, where Fetterman was driving a Chevrolet Traverse that collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Impala, according to a Maryland State Police spokesperson.

The driver of the Impala was also taken to War Memorial Hospital in West Virginia. No citations were issued, and an investigation is ongoing, the department stated.


A spokesperson for Sen. Fetterman told the media that the couple was taken to the hospital as a precaution. John Fetterman was treated for a bruised shoulder, while Giselle's injuries were not disclosed. The Fettermans were discharged on Sunday afternoon and are reported to be doing well.


UPDATE: The spokesperson said Fetterman was discharged on Sunday afternoon will be in DC for Senate business this week.
