2A Activist Kyle Rittenhouse Announces He Won’t Vote for Trump in November

Kyle Rittenhouse, the Outreach Director for Texas Gun Rights, has announced that he will not be voting for former President Donald Trump in the upcoming November election. Instead, he plans to write in former Texas congressman Ron Paul. Rittenhouse made the announcement in a video posted on Twitter, which has since led to several prominent conservative Twitter accounts blocking him.

"Hi, I'm Kyle Rittenhouse, Outreach Director for Texas Gun Rights. A lot of people are upset that I said that I'm going to be writing in Ron Paul for president of the United States, and that is true, I will be writing in Ron Paul," the 21-year-old said in the clip.

Rittenhouse criticized Trump’s stance on the Second Amendment, attributing it to poor advisory choices during his presidency. "Unfortunately, Donald Trump had bad advisors, making him bad on the Second Amendment, and that is my issue," Rittenhouse added. "If you cannot be completely uncompromisable on the Second Amendment, I will not vote for you, and I will write somebody else in. We need champions for the Second Amendment or our rights would be eaten away and eroded each day. I support my decision and I have no takebacks."

The announcement has sparked controversy among conservative circles, with many large conservative Twitter accounts opting to block Rittenhouse in response to his decision. He has since been expelled from Turning Point USA for refusing to back Donald Trump. Conservative personality Chad Prather has also pulled out of a Texas Gun Rights event scheduled for September 12th for the same reason.
